A rhinoplasty specialist will be able to comprehensively address the issues you have with your nose. While there are a variety of approaches and techniques employed by various surgeons, it is up to you to do your due diligence to find a rhinoplasty specialist in order to achieve the best results possible. Looking at computer-morphed images with your surgeon during consultation will give you a good idea of what is possible, and also give you a great chance to convey to your surgeon what you envision.
Thank you for your question. Asymmetry in your nose is normal, but if it bothers you, it can most likely be repaired. There are a variety of reasons why you may have this issue, which is why it is best that you consult a specialist plastic surgeon for an in-person examination. Make sure you choose a surgeon who has extensive experience in performing ethnic rhinoplasty procedures, as you want to look natural and have your nose match your other features. Good luck! - Andrew L. Greensmith, MBChB, FRACS
Thank you for your question. I suggest that you move forward and consult with a board certified facial plastic surgeon to determine your candidacy for rhinoplasty. Rhinoplasty is capable of creating more symmetry and more proportion.Best wishes,
Seek out a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon with vast experience operating on Asian noses and you will get your answer. Thanks for the excellent photos which seem to indicate that your lower nose is somewhat asymmetric. After a careful history is taken, followed by a methodical physical examination including the inside of your nose (to assess airway) and the outward esthetics of your nose (to understand the anatomical basis of your uneven nose )-your chosen surgeon may be able to help you. It looks as though your nostrils are slightly different in size and although it is difficult to make precise recommendations from 2 photographs-your uneven nose may be made more symmetrical by moving your left lateral nostril a bit more to the midline (we call this an alar base narrowing procedure). It would be unusual to get this from an unusual sleeping position. Good luck in finding a great surgeon who may be able to help you !!G
Thank you for your question. You can have correction of your asymmetry with a surgical rhinoplasty or with fillers (Non Surgical Rhinoplasty). Please find a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in your area who can help you. All The Best !
Nasal tip asymmetry can be due to asymmetric contours, trauma, asymmetric cartilage lengths, nostril size asymmetry, facial asymmetry, or a deviated septum. All these factors may be contributing to the appearance. An examination can usually determine which factors are responsible and a Rhinoplasty tip-plasty can be done to correct.
The base view of your nose reveals thatr your columella is not in the midline, and this may be resulting in nostril asymmetry. Consider consulting with several rhinoplasty specialists so you could see what might be best for you moving forward. Hope this helps! Dr Joseph
A degree of asymmetry is common in everyone. In fact, if you were to get mirror images of the left and right side of your face and create a complete 'LEFT' sided and 'RIGHT' sided face, you would be quite surprised at how different they appear.Pursuing rhinoplasty is a completely personal choice. There is never a need to pursue any kind of surgery unless you want it or feel the need for it. That said, rhinoplasty could help improve upon the asymmetry you see.Best wishes.
It is not unusual to have some degree of nasal asymmetry. Most likely your appearance has nothing to do with your sleeping habits. From your photo, your asymmetry is related to your maxillary bone and how your nose supported by that bone. Good luckBest,#drburnett #realself100
Tissue from your own body (autologous grafts) will give you a safer, more permanent result than synthetic implants. While en bloc cartilage grafts, especially from the rib, can warp over time, there are ways to eliminate this problem. Especially for dorsal augmentation (building up the bridge) ...
Thank you for your question. You are likely experiencing bruising and swelling because you are in the initial stages of your recovery. Please remain patient and continue following the recovery instructions provided by your board certified facial plastic surgeon. Best wishes,
Hi Christyli, Since it is only 8 days (as of taking photo) post-op, it is hard to evaluate the scar, but normally, scars improve as the incision site settles. Pleease wait at least 3-6 months for the area to settle. At this point, you should not do anything to the surgical site anyway.
