I have lips incompetence, the problem is my upper lip ends at the end of my gums so my resting position is 8mm to 1 cm of separation between lips, to close them I have to make an effort and its impossible to keep them that way. Is there any way other than a lafort procedure to fix this? I'm a male and don't want to play with lip fillings if its possible Thank you

It takes about 9-12 months for nerves to fully recover. There is nothing that can be done to make things better. I would try to ride it out. If the nerve pain is severe, consider seeing a neurologist.
