An injectable filler can augment the contours of your upper lip for a fuller look. I would start there and see how you feel about your results. For the bottom lip, reduction surgery is a possibility, but that's more involved than fillers and may be more correction than you want or need. A consultation with a board certified cosmetic surgeon can give you more information on your options.
With a hyaluronic acid filler such as Juvederm, your upper lip can be volumized, to create more symmetry between the upper and lower lip. You naturally have a beautiful shape to your lips, a small amount of filler will have a big impact. I recommend you see an expert for the best results. Best, Dr P.
Hi and thank you for your question! You have nice volume in your lips. There are precise proportions between the sizes of upper and lower lips and staying close to those proportions ensure the most appealing look. While there isn't much that can be done to reduce the size of the lower lip, we can easily add volume to your upper lip with injection of hyaluronic acid fillers and that will also make the look of both lips more balanced. I hope it helps and good luck!
Filler can be used to create symmetry very easily. I would find an experienced physician to discuss your desires. Good luck with your transformation.
Every single person is asymmetric and the best way to correct lip asymmetry is though a modest amount of hyaluronic acid filler such as Juvederm. Juvederm is a great filler for plumping the lips and should give you the balance that you want wit the correct placement and technique. Best, Dr. Green
The theoretical "ideal" proportion is to have your upper lip two thirds the fullness of your lower lip. What is ideal for you will vary based on the proportions of the rest of your face and your own aesthetic desires. I would not do anything to your lower lip. It is full, attractive and normal. I think the only reason it may seem "swollen" to you is in comparison to its skinny neighbor, your upper lip. The solution is simple. enhance the fullness of your upper lip until a more satisfying proportion is achieved. This can safely and relatively simply achieved with injectable fillers such as Restylane or Juvaderm.I hope this helps
You would get a nice improvement with lip fillers. These fillers, (Volbella, Restylane, Juvederm) are good to create a full and symmetrical lip. Nova threads can be used to improve lift and shape. Implants or fat are alternatives. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting ...
It is best to have patients with a known history of herpes to take anti-viral medication 2 days before receiving lip fillers. I see no problem with you receiving fillers in the future. The outbreak of herpes will have no effect on your fillers. Keep your lips the way that you like them!
You have a pretty face and nice skin. Increasing the size of your lips will distract from the angry look you might see once in a while. You can also relax the mentalis muscle in the chin area to give the whole area a more relaxed appearance.Good luck, Dr. ALDO
The most likely cause of a shortening columella after trauma is secondary scar contracture. Scars shrink in other works. Get a formal consultation with a plastic surgeon about ways to slow down this scar shrinkage.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO
