It takes about 9-12 months for nerves to fully recover. There is nothing that can be done to make things better. I would try to ride it out. If the nerve pain is severe, consider seeing a neurologist.

It usually occurs in the first 3 months but can take a full year. During the healing process you may feel some tingling and even an occasional shooting pain.
