Thank you for your question.Yes, you should be able to have liposuction with acid reflux. It is important, however, that your operating surgeon and anesthesiologist know that you have acid reflux and what medications you have been taking for it.To determine your candidacy for a liposuction procedure, I would recommend scheduling a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon. At the time of your consultation and physical exam, your surgeon of choice can review your cosmetic goals and medical health profile, as well as the result that you can expect to achieve.
Acid reflux should not necessarily be a contraindication to having liposuction. Speak with your plastic surgeon and primary care doctor to make sure you're on the right medications and medically fit to undergo anesthesia and surgery. In order to get a qualified, ethical, and expert opinion on your surgical options and expectations, schedule an in-person office consultation with a plastic surgeon certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.Best of luck,Keith M. Hello and thank you for your question. Thebest advice you can receive is from an in-person consultation. Acid reflux is usually not a problem for liposuction and should not be affected by this surgery. Make sure youspecifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who havehad this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate theirresults. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you arecomfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualifiedboard-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person.Best wishes and good luck.Richard G. Reish, M.D.Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
Bella. Acid reflux is easily controlled with medication and is not a contraindication for liposuction. Discuss this condition with your primary doctor and your surgeon. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon. Good luck!
I think it is safe to get liposuction if you have acid reflux. I can't think of any negative connection between the two issues. I would just make sure your acid reflux is well-controlled prior to the procedure. Good luck with your procedure!
Yes, you can have liposuction if you have acid reflux. It is a good idea to take your reflux meds regularly prior to surgery. Always best to review this with your surgeon.
Reflux should not contraindicate surgery. Your medications should be discussed with the plastic surgeon and anesthesiologist. Best wishes!
Thank you for your question. I asume you mean to compare liposuction to a tummy tuck. Liposuction will always be more painful then a TT. But I feel that Lipo is always a good addition to a traditional TT. I usually perform Lipo of full back, flanks and waist along with a TT. If the patient is ...
Thank you for your question.Generally speaking, most patients recover from a liposuction procedure fairly quickly and are back to their normal daily routine within 48-72 hours. With that being said, every patients pain/discomfort tolerance is different and most surgeons provide patients with ...
Hello. I recommend to all of my patients that desire multiple procedures that can be safely performed together, such as liposuction and breast augmentation, that it is best to have them performed at the same time. This way, you are only undergoing anesthesia once and you won't have two separate...
