Thank you for your question. I asume you mean to compare liposuction to a tummy tuck. Liposuction will always be more painful then a TT. But I feel that Lipo is always a good addition to a traditional TT. I usually perform Lipo of full back, flanks and waist along with a TT. If the patient is thin, then we only do lipo on the flanks and waist. This actually guaranties a better silhouette and therefore a more aesthetic result.Remember that lipo treats excess fat does and does not get rid of excess skin, so if you feel you have excess skin, a combination of the two procedures is probably your best choice.Hope this helps!Dr. Miguel Mota
