Laser hair removal on chest 1.5 weeks after gynecomastia surgery (Lipo only)

Question

I had gynecomastia surgery 2 weeks ago (lipo only, no gland was removed), and healing had been great. I then had laser hair removal on my chest a 3 of days ago, and since then have noticed that a small area next to my right nipple has hardened/swollen, which I am sure is a consequence of the laser removal on the area. There is no change in colour (ie - doesn't appear to be purple or black). Can someone explain what happened and whether this is something that will go away on its own? Thank you!

I don't think there should be a problem, but I would get in to see your surgeon to examine you. There should not be a problem, but I would have waited before having the laser treatment. This is a good lesson for everybody, check with your surgeon before doing any sort of treatments within one month after surgery!

A photo would be helpful.  Was an incision for lipo made there? Is it red, painful?  Without knowing more it is hard to say.  You should contact your surgeon if it gets worse or doesn't go away in a few days and it still bothers you.
