Is Kybella and aqulyx suitable for the pubic region ? Does it travel and all or only effect the area injected
Answer: Is Kybella suitable for pubic region and banana rolls under booty? Though using KyBella in those 2 areas is "off-label" use, it can be successfully preforming in multiple sessions. This is NOT a one and done treatment. Usually 3-6 sessions are needed, thus the time costs and $$ costs are rater high. Why not consider superficial lipo sculpture?

Answer: Using Kybella Kybella is an inferior form of fat removal in general and is appropriate for certain situations in some instances. It is only FDA approved for the chin and neck area and those are probably pretty good guidelines to follow. The banana roll is not typically an issue related to fat distribution and removing fat in this area typically does not solve the problem and can create new contour issues. The banana roll typically forms when patients are an upright standing position causing the skin on the back of the thigh to be pushed into the buttocks creating a skin fold just below the gluteal crease. If fat is removed the skin fold still forms and most people have a normal fat distribution in the area. The banana roll is not clearly understood by many plastic surgeons because it is not a topic that is generally taught or mentioned in textbooks. Experienced providers will typically know to not treat this with an attempt a fat removal typically Liposuction. To get an assessment and a better understanding of treatment options I suggest having several in person consultations with local board-certified plastic surgeons. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Kybella Hello, and thanks for your question. You can certainly get Kybella in those areas. It should only travel to the areas injected. Please see a board-certified surgeon for best results.
