Answer: Kybella Kybella is FDA-approved for treating submental fat located beneath the chin. Treating otherareas using Kybella is not FDA-approved and is not recommended, as off-label uses have notbeen properly tested. If you are concerned with fat located around your eyes, you may want to consider an additionalsurgical procedure to remove the fat directly. Nonsurgical treatments using injectable fillersmay also be a viable option to restore balance and symmetry. To learn more about youravailable options, schedule a consultation with a board-certified plastic surgeon. Hope thishelps!

Answer: Kybella This is an off label use of Kybella. I would not recommend using Kybella around the eye area until we have more research to support the use in this area. Be sure you ask a lot of questions and choose an experienced injector familiar with the surrounding anatomy. Best of luck to you!

Answer: Kybella and fat pad eye region This is an "off label" use of Kybella. I know of some practitioners who are doing this, I have not attempted it so I don't know the amount they are using but it is very little. The skin in the area can be loose afterward, may need to be tightened. Best, Lisa Vuich, MD

Answer: Kybella for lower lid fat dissolving? The answer is yes, your doctor can choose to use it in this off-label way. Kybella dissolves fat and tightens overlying skin wherever it is placed and significant caution must be used by a professional who knows the functional and anatomical aspects of the eye to avoid unwanted side effects.

Answer: Kybella does work for under eye fat pads Hello and thanks for posting. This would be considered an off-label use of Kybella. This means the FDA has not approved Kybella for reduction of fat in this location. That said, Kybella does work to dissolve under eye fat pads and studies are underway. It must be used in very small dosages in this location because of the potential for significant swelling. The best approach is to use very small amounts of Kybella, evaluate for swelling, and plan to dissolve the fat over a series of conservative treatment sessions. Another approach is to simply leave the fat pad in place and use facial fillers to feather in around the fat pad and camouflage it. I hope that this information helps and best of luck to you!
