I had a treatment for age spots and some spider veins-over my whole face. I had extensive swelling and bumps under the skin.

Swelling following laser is normal, especially if you had multiple things treated in one shot. Since you say it is improved considerably one week out, I would say there is no cause for concern. It is dependent upon the procedure of course but in some cases residual swelling from laser treatments or filler can last up to two weeks. Give it another five days and if you still see swelling, I would advise a follow-up with the person who performed your laser.

Swelling can be a normal side effect from these types of procedures. Especially if you had a lot of different areas treated. Please return to your treating physician for examination to be certain .  Best, Dr. Green
