Filler can really make the philtum columns and cupid's bow stick out nicely and look very natural and pretty.
About 30% of the patients that I see for lip injections are interested in creating improved lip architecture more than just creating lip volume. Hyaluronic acid fillers such as Volbella or Juvederm Ultra can certainly help you with creating philtral columns. You may also need some tweaks to the peaks at Cupid's bow. Don't forget to ask about this!
Telexfromyou. Photos would help to understand exactly which area of your lips you desire filler. Fillers placed expertly in the lips can make a difference. Come see me or another board-certified plastic surgeon or dermatologist in the area for a consultation to evaluate the best options for you. Good luck.
Excellent question. I am sorry to hear that you are bothered by the shape of your mouth. Philtral columns can indeed be enhanced and defined with the aid of precisely placed injectable fillers. The type of filler and technique really depends on your anatomy. The good news is that there are a number of products which can help augment and define the cupids bow and philtral columns. Please see a board certified dermatologist who specializes in injectable fillers. I hope this helps!
Yes, fillers can be very effective in recreating flattened philtral columns. A firm filler should be selected so that it maintains its shape.
Absolutely, the philtral columns can be created or supplemented with fillers. We do this frequently during lip augmentation. This should be done with a hyaluronic acid product, such as Juvederm Ultra or Vollure.Best wishes
It would be possible to enhance the philtrum columns with dermal fillers. This is often done when lips are injected to enhance the cupids bow. You should consult with and experienced provider who can give you a natural look.
Hi. It is possible to create philtrum columns with filler. Depending on your needs I would recommend the use of either Volbella or Vollure which are both the newer products in the Allergan lines of fillers and both of these products last longer and are less palpable compared to the older generations of fillers. Without seeing a photo of you I can not determine which one would be the final recommendation. I would suggest you have an in person evaluation with a provider in your area that has many years of experience and who you trust. Good luck with treatment!
It is definitely possible to restore or create philtrum columns with hyaluronic acid fillers. I would suggest Restylane Silk or Juvederm Volbella for these purposes. Adding filler to this area will have a natural looking result and improve your appearance. You can add some filler to the lip line as well to enhance this area. Please consult an expert in lip fillers for the best cosmetic results. Best, Dr. Green
It's hard to give you an answer without seeing a photo or evaluating you in person. In general, hyaluronic acid based fillers can be used to improve lip shape and definition and to enhance the Cupid's Bow and philtral columns.
I'm sorry to hear about your experience with "lumps" [We cannot call them granuloma unless they are cut out and we have a pathological diagnosis of granuloma. Just know that all "lumps and bumps, are not necessarily granulomas. I have used Artefill [now called Bellafill] fairly...

Thank you for your question. This could be due to a delayed onset infection though that is rare. I would certainly have it evaluated by a dermatologist. I would also consider your eyelash extensions as a possible cause. Best to have it evaluated ASAP.
