I did ~1700 graft FUE transplant a month ago, and from the first day after surgery, it was noticeable for me that the hairline is unsymmetrical. I'm a designer(professional) so my eye is very keen to such things, but I believe it is no only my professional view, but quite obvious to regular eye. (Although it is not a huge different but 0.5-1 cm level difference still visible) What do you think? I'm considering adding 100-200 more graft in order to made it symmetrical.

Answer: Asymmetry In some cases in order to get a natural look the hair can be implanted a little asymmetrical, other wise it can look very obvious. In order to add more grafts wait at least 5 months. See your results first and give your transplanted area some healing time to get better results.

Answer: I did 1700 FUE transplant a month ago and my hairline seems asymmetrical so far. At one month postop there is probably not much to see as far as new growth. No hairline is 100% symmetrical. I'd suggest you wait 8-12 months from then date of the procedure, then see your surgeon to review preop photos and results. I would suggest against putting more grafts in a month postop as you can't see where all the original grafts are.

Answer: My hairline seem asymmetrical Hi, everyones face and head is asymmetrical, so it is impossible to make the hairline symmetrical. I would visit your doctor and discuss your concerns with him or her. Each patient is different, but usually one temple is higher than the other so it is more natural to make the hairline slightly higher on that side to meet the temple.Dr. Robert Jones
