I've had one procedure June 2017 via Neograft. Approx 2500 grafts and have plenty of donor area My results are a nice improvement, but my goal would be to not be able to see my scalp and not appear as if I'm still losing my hair or thinning... So the big question is how much can be added to an existing area without damaging the current grafts health or viability? How many "existing" grafts-hairs get damaged in the process of punching new holes ? Assuming plentiful donor area.
Answer: Density Hello,Density is one of the most critical factors after hair transplantation. Early on you may not be able to fully determine your density. Density depends on various factors including the number of hairs per cm squared, the thickness and vibrancy of hair, direction and design of hair. Techniques for density vary from surgeon to surgeon. In my office, we utilize a specialized technique that allows for optimizing density and found it to be helpful. Best, Dr. Anil Shah

Answer: Dense packing fue for hairline I would suggest having a consultation with a doctor that specializes in dense packing and hairline work.A great first step would be an online consultation. Often you can submit photos to top hair restoration surgeons for a complimentary evaluation. This should help lead you in the right direction. Having multiple consultations with different doctors cannot hurt.

Answer: Maximum density with FUE Hi, The maximum density I that you can achieve is about 100 grafts per cm squared, although I never recommend this density! If you plant 3000 grafts at this density, you will only be able to cover 30 square centimeters, or 5 X 6 sq cm, not a lot of area covered. I would normally not recommend over about 40 or 50 grafts per cm sq. This provides enough density to make the hair look thick, but allows for more coverage area.In your case, another 20 or 30 grafts per cm sq should add adequate density.Usually very few hairs get damaged in the extraction process,Dr. Robert Jones

Answer: Maximum density 40-45 GRAFTS per centimeter square yields nearly %50 density of normal hair. it is better to see your photos from back and front and top in order to understand the problem you have, treatment methods and/or estimate how much graft do we need to cover or make dense the area. The game changer is your donor site density .
