Im unhappy with my looks because I feel my face is unbalanced. I do not have a trained eye and am unable to pinpoint clearly what is making face look disproportionate. What is good about my face and what areas can be improved/procedures to done to maximize facial balance?

This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. In fact, we all have it, and it is completely normal. Also, you must be clear and certain with your aesthetic goals. Only you should dictate what you need and not be influenced by what others think you need correcting.

If you simply want to achieve facial balance and a more rejuvenated and refreshed appearance, you may benefit from non-surgical options like facial fillers to enhance your facial contours. First, don't be so hard on yourself. The proper use of the appropriate HA fillers in experienced hands can quite easily help to establish the kind of harmony and proportionality you are seeking. They can be used to increase chin and lip projection to create greater harmony with the projection of the nose in profile view. They can help to straighten and better define the jawline. And they can be used to eliminate the incipient marionette lines at the corners of the mouth and straighten the corners of the lips. In order to get a clear picture of your concern, we must have a full picture:) The cap actually covers nearly a third of your face. What I can see is that you have amazing skin texture and a great brow position. A skilled aesthetic injector can actually measure you to see where you are proportionally "unbalanced". From the pictures it appears that the lower third of your face may benefit from fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm in the lips, chin and jawline. Your cheeks may possibly benefit from some filler medially but I can't tell for sure from the pictures. Best of luck.

Thank you for your photos and questions.  We are all asymmetrical to some degree and your facial proportions are within normal limits.  If it is bothersome to you Botox and fillers do a nice job of bringing better balance.  You can consider treatments such as Hydrafacial to moisturize and revitalize the skin.  Morpheus8 treatments work well for tone and texture.  We also recommend using medical grade skin care products and wearing sunscreen every day.
