Im unhappy with my looks because I feel my face is unbalanced. I do not have a trained eye and am unable to pinpoint clearly what is making face look disproportionate. What is good about my face and what areas can be improved/procedures to done to maximize facial balance?
Answer: Facial balance optimization Thank you for your question and posting appropriate pictures. You have nice fullness in the lateral portion of your face and some medial balancing will improve your facial aesthetics. Additionally may address lower face with jawline improvement. Best of course to have a consultation to discuss options.

Answer: Facial Slimming — Masseter Botox, Facetite/Renuvion J Plasma, Buccal Fat Pad Removal, Fillers to sculpt the Cheek/Jawline/Chin This is my expertise and a huge portion of my practice. Asymmetry is normal and expected. Buccal fat pad gives slimming not symmetry. Masseter botox will make you slimmer and make the jawline more loose. Fillers help give shaping and contouring. If you want perfect or close to perfect symmetry you need maxillofacial surgery or implants customized. I suggest seeing an expert to go through all options. Most of my younger clients use fillers to give them shaping especially on the cheeks, jawline, and chin which make the face look more slim and tight; and threads such as PDO or Instalift can build collagen and support the facial shaping and skin looseness over time, slowing down the aging process and given the face a more “snatched” look; and morpheus8 or PiXel8 deep microneedling RF can tighten crepe skin especially on the neck and jawline and is great for long term tightening of the full face, neck and chest; its often used to give the face a slimmer more sculpted look because it tightens the skin and gives lift. an early face lift can be performed as well even in younger clients if they want a different facial shape, maxillofacial surgery with bone breaking or shaving can also be done. For facial slimming a combination of treatments are always needed. Options include: 1. Buccal fat pad removal to reduce fat on the lower face 2. Factite or Renuvion/J Plasma to tighten the lower face, jawline, and chin to reduce fat and give the jawline and neck tightening and shaping. 3. Botox to the masseter to reduce the muscular size of the jaw giving the face an illusion of being more slender 4. Fillers to the jawline, chin, cheeks, temples and brow help to shape the face and make it more angled and defined Always use at home derma rolling (see link to Emerageskin x anteageMD roller plus stem cells/hyaluronic acid ampules) and peels like emeragecosmetics enlighten or aerify that can be used to improve skin quality and tighten the skin while improving wrinkles, pigmentation, acne, and Melasma. See an expert who does facial shaping with surgical and non surgical methods to get a comprehensive option. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: How to achieve facial balance: Know your options Hello, and thank you for your question. First of all, let me assure you that you have a beautiful face. It is not uncommon to have facial asymmetry. In fact, we all have it, and it is completely normal. Also, you must be clear and certain with your aesthetic goals. Only you should dictate what you need and not be influenced by what others think you need correcting. If you simply want to achieve facial balance and a more rejuvenated and refreshed appearance, you may benefit from non-surgical options like facial fillers to enhance your facial contours. But the best way to determine the right procedure(s) for you is to schedule an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with extensive experience with injectables. During your consultation, you should express your concerns and goals while your surgeon can do a proper evaluation of your face, customize the best treatment plan for you, and ensure the best possible outcome.

Answer: Facial harmony Thank you for your photos and questions. We are all asymmetrical to some degree and your facial proportions are within normal limits. If it is bothersome to you Botox and fillers do a nice job of bringing better balance. You can consider treatments such as Hydrafacial to moisturize and revitalize the skin. Morpheus8 treatments work well for tone and texture. We also recommend using medical grade skin care products and wearing sunscreen every day.

Answer: Fillers Work Well For Creating Greater Facial Harmony & Proportionality First, don't be so hard on yourself. The proper use of the appropriate HA fillers in experienced hands can quite easily help to establish the kind of harmony and proportionality you are seeking. They can be used to increase chin and lip projection to create greater harmony with the projection of the nose in profile view. They can help to straighten and better define the jawline. And they can be used to eliminate the incipient marionette lines at the corners of the mouth and straighten the corners of the lips. All of the above can be accomplished in one session of about twenty minutes with immediate results that typically evoke a "Wow!" reaction and engender little to no significant downtime. Just make sure to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist. So relax, and best of luck.
