In addition to which type of filler is used (some fillers last longer than others), several other factors can influence dermal filler longevity, including where the filler is used on your face, how much is injected, and the speed at which your body metabolizes the filler material. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon, particularly one with extensive experience with injectables. Such experts will know the right dosage and technique that will achieve your desired results.

Keep in mind that Radiesse is not the same as Restylane. While Restylane is a hyaluronic filler that adds support to the dermal structure and offers immediate results, Radiesse works in a different fashion. This injectable stimulates the body to produce more collagen, which adds volume in the weeks and months following treatment. Because the results are gradual, they may not look as obvious to you, but once they develop, they typically last longer than HA fillers.

Thank you for your question. This is usually the first place patients notice aging. I'd guess Radiesse was used the second time because it usually volumizes more than other fillers. For smaller changes, additional filler may help. However, if you're looking for a more permanent solution, a SOOF lift may be beneficial, or perhaps midface implants.
