Age 46, what can I do for lines next to nasolabial folds? (Photos)

I am 46 . I have had fillers in my nasolabial folds for a few years now. Over the last year or so, I have noticed a line next to the fold..I am assuming it is loose skin or loss of muscle tone/. I use micro current nightly, radio frequency sometimes as well. What can I do to treat that area? Laser? Surgery? I am open to suggestions .

I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. Hello, and thank you for your question. It is a normal part of the aging process to have loss of volume in the face, especially in the lower area. You have several options to treat it and it will depend on your goals and how invasive of an approach you want to take. For a more conservative treatment, you can do a combination of Botox, fillers, laser and energy devices (including microneedling combined with RF energy - Profound RF). A combination of treatments can provide you with a better overall result.

Another option would be a PDO threadlift –a non-surgical treatment that uses dissolvable sutures to lift tissue and tighten skin for a noticeably younger appearance. And for a more aggressive approach, you may opt for a mini facelift. A mini facelift is a minimally-invasive surgical procedure that’s less aggressive than a traditional facelift (rhytidectomy) or a neck lift with platysmaplasty. A mini facelift might be your best choice if you have early signs of aging, such as slight jowl formation and mild to moderate skin laxity.

There are several options to address your concerns.  The best recommendation depends on how aggressive you want to be.  You can consider Sculptra to give longer lasting results and more facial volume.  FaceTite and Morpheus8 treatments can help tighten skin and improve overall skin tone and texture. Your face is showing classical signs of aging with a loss of volume in terms of fat. Muscles actually do not get looser with age but considerably tighter as they do everywhere else on the body. In order for you to get rid of these folds you need to restore the volume in the face and the best way in my opinion is with the use of your own fat.
