Am I deformed and do I have tubular breast deformity?

Note that when my nipples are completely flaccid they look even worse. Never noticed a problem with my boobs until I realized they weren’t like my friends. They give me so much anxiety I sometimes can’t sleep.

Breasts are unique; often the two breast are asymmetric and differ from our friends.Nipples that are low due to ptosis can be lifted with a breast lift.  Additional upper pole volume, can be addressed with an implant or fat grafting.  Tuberous breast deformity usually have enlarged protruding areolar, conical breast and short tight lower pole- the photos do not represent that.Anxiety and difficulty sleeping should be addressed with one's primary care or anxiety specialist.

You are not deformed and do not have tubular breasts.  Your breasts are asymmetrical and pointing outwards.  The technique I recommend is a breast lift using The Bellesoma Method.  This will reshape your breast tissue creating upper pole fullness without implants, elevate them higher on the chest wall and more medial to increase your cleavage.  Vertical scars are avoided, nipple sensation (in 95%) and the ability to breast feed are maintained.  Later, fat transfers can be performed if additional volume is desired.  Implants are not lifetime devices.  8% fail within the first year and 30% fail within six years.  Fat transfers are permanent and incorporated into the body.Best Wishes,Gary Horndeski, M.D.

Tubular breast deformity is characterized by a large puffy areola and a lack of tissue below it. So essentially the lower aspect of the breast is flat and what tissue there is sticks out through the areola. It is usually associated with significant breast asymmetry and a wide cleavage. You do not look like you have that condition, although there can be more subtle variants of it. You have a nice cleavage and fullness, with a  lower  nipple position and mild natural sag of the breast.

You asked if you have tuberous breast deformity which is a condition with certain discreet characteristics. As all the doctors have said, you don't have tuberous breast deformity.Not liking your breasts is a separate issue. If you feel like you don't have a lot of breast volume at the top of your breasts, you're right. If that bothers you, you look like you'd be a good candidate for a breast augmentation. The implant would make your breasts bigger, but, more importantly in your case, they would give you volume at the top of your breasts where you don't have it. It might give you the "look" you see in your friends.

Thank you for your question. I’m sorry this issue has caused you so much anxiety. Good news is that your breasts are not deformed and not tubular. In fact, they are very normal and natural appearing breasts.
Breasts come in all shapes and sizes. Yours look perfectly normal!

You should also be aware that breasts might change shape and size after significant weight change or being stretched from the milk of pregnancy. After the milk of pregnancy disappears, breasts might remain the same size, become bigger or smaller and/or droopier. And, what can happen can change from pregnancy to the next. Unfortunately, surgeons have created the term tuberous breasts, a fact which causes unnecessary concerns for women. Many women just have different sizes and shapes and in my opinion shouldn't be labeled. For those interested in breast enhancement, I recommend an in person evaluation by a plastic surgeon to be measured and discuss your goals. After I measure and discuss goals with my patients, we then look at pictures of former patients with similar measurements. My patients tell me that this process is very helpful in determining what size breast implant is right for them.
