Question

BL/BA on sept 1, I have a condition with my skin due to heavy skin lighting skin is very sensitive n thin I bruised very easily left breast as a huge wound under it after almost a wk after surgery Doc gave me antibiotic cream to use he said after applying cover with gauze 2 days in my wound got worst I started feeling sick,fever, gettin chills to my bones oh n I had a drainage tube in my left breast. Now this wound isn't getting better n I'm seeing yellow n green mucos like coming from my breast

I would recommend that you discuss this question with your surgeon as every surgeon has their own respective post op protocol for his/her patients.  Your surgeon is your best resource as he/she is most familiar with your medical history, how you are healing at this time and recommend appropriate wound care management.
The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam.

Thanks so much for reaching out. It will heal over time but will take patience and dedication to going to care on your part.  Be sure to stay in close contact with your surgeon and follow any instructions they have. Because you have an implant under there do you want to make sure it does not get infected.   This can take weeks to resolve.  I hope this helps :-)

Don't despair. These wounds heal with topical therapy and TLC. They do happen to others and you are going to be fine. It does take time though. Many different ways to care for it. I personally like the Santyl cream which eats away the "sloughy" tissue. You really should follow up with your doctor and follow their recommendations. Good luck.

The problem you have is not "normal", but is relatively frequent -just a poor choice of words. Half the time it heals just fine with twice a day washing and topical Silvadene cream or silver impregnated tape like Acticoat that is less messy. Silver tarnishes and can cause black stains on closing. Manuka honey 14 or higher also can resolve such a wound. The other half result in scarring that may need revision in the future 6-12 months after healing. Most of these end up with a happy result.
