Is Cooltec as safe as CoolSculpting?

Hi,I have not heard or read any literature regarding Cooltech.  I have been performing Coolsculpting for over 7 years and the science, technology, and company are extremely reliable.  I would be cautious of any imitators of Coolsculpting that do not have scientific papers or FDA clearance.Warmly,Dr.Liu

I had never heard of CoolTech.  I've been performing CoolSculting for about 5 years now.  It works great for the right candidate and it's very safe.  I have not had one person have any significant side effects or long term issues with the treatment.  Zeltiq and CoolSculpting have been around for years.  They are a reputable company and brand.  I have never heard of CoolTech, so I can't say whether or not they are safe.  I would definitely go with the better known brand.

Cooltech does not have the same history and longevity of existence as CoolSclupting, so it's impossible to say whether it is as safe or reliable.  It might be safer or less safe, and it might be more reliable or less so, but without a few years and a couple of million treatments (which CoolSculpting has), comparison is not easy to do.

Coolsculpting results are very reproducible and completely safe and effective and we have a long track record of proven safety and results.  There is no comparison and I would definitely only recommend Coolsculpting for you.  Best, Dr. Green

Hello and thank you for your question.We looked for a reliable, safe, scientific fat treatment machine for many years. Everything I looked at had unreliable and erratic data, or was too uncomfortable for the patient or had placement applicators that did not meet most of our patients' requirements(applicators too large or too small or odd shapes, giving contours that were not smooth) or had too many complications, like burns.The only way for you to get a scientifc report is to try and access the complications data from both companies.I do not have that data, and am merely answering from a user perspective, together with the articles I read or am exposed to in my Plastic Surgery world.We have been delighted with CoolSculpting technology and results. Safe, good size and shape applicators, developed in the USA, lots of ongoing development and research. We have recently purchased the newer-developed applicators, which further improve an already excellent product. Less numbness, better shapes, shorter treatment time, almost no reports of abdominal discomfort. To my knowledge, none of the other copies have this. Also, to my knowledge, the safety mechanisms in CoolSculpting are unsurpassed, and the burns reported are from other manufacturers. The price point for us to purchase other machines is much lower. For us, the more expensive machine is worth it.We now have 2 machines and are extremely pleased with the results.
