Question

My left breast is deformed, after I took suggested infra red therapie sessions with a chiropractic , after six week . He massaged them so hardly , since then I have this form but they also got much more softer since then . I was adviced by surgeon to start massaging in the six week . can not squeeze them . Under my left armpit I have a swallen Lymphgland , occured in the 4th week . My surgeon is in Europe, will see him earliest in two month. appreciate your impressions kindly SK

Its tough to tell without examining you, since capsular contracture is best diagnosed by feeling how hard the breast is. It does look as though your capsule may be tight on the left side, but again, without feeling it its tough to say. I would suggest getting a consult with a local board certified plastic surgeon. On a side note, you may also want to look into why your chiropractor, i.e. a back expert, was massaging your breasts. This seems a little suspect to me.

It is difficult to tell by a photo if you have capsular contracture. However they are usually firm with contracture. They also tend to become painful in more severe cases. You need to be evaluated by your surgeon in order to know for sure.

It is difficult to say what is going on without an exam in person.  It can take several months for the breasts to soften. Stick with your plastic surgeon.

Most likely it is not.Capsular contracture usually is a later development. The breasts are soft and then get hard later- this is the typical coarse for contracture.I expect your pocket was not developed or dissected enough on the left breast.I have seen this and it is relatively easy to fix. Sometimes it will round out on its own. If it doesn't, then surgery is needed.Dr Chris Saunders

It's hard to tell whether, indeed, you have a capsule formation on the left breast. I recommend all my patients to start massaging thier breast after 2 weeks, and I demonstrate to them the technique. I would not suggest having a chiropractor treating your capsule. I would suggest that yo consult with a Baord Certified PS, Good luck!
