Hello, I am day 13 of ~1400 FUE. I have no remaining crusts or scabs. Transplanted hair actually seems to be growing which makes things more noticeable. Is it safe at this point to gently buzz the recipient area? Thank you in advance.

Answer: It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen.
The scarring or raised bumps will not go away with another surgery. You also risk more bumps with another surgery. This may not happen but it is a risk you must consider. Another surgery may help fill in the gaps making the bumps less noticeable.

5000 grafts is a very large session and amount of hair to extract in a single session. There will be a significant difference in donor hair thickness and high chance of shock loss.
FUE is only a harvesting method. If you are concerned about donor area scarring when keeping your hair short you should choose the FUE method. FUE requires shaving your head so it would be very obvious after surgery.
