Can I buzz the recipient area of my transplant 2 weeks after procedure?

Hello, I am day 13 of ~1400 FUE. I have no remaining crusts or scabs. Transplanted hair actually seems to be growing which makes things more noticeable. Is it safe at this point to gently buzz the recipient area? Thank you in advance.

It is best to ask your surgeon about post operative care as each doctor has their unique regimen. After two weeks there should be no issues with getting a hair cut.

I tell my patients to wait at least 2-4 weeks after the procedure before getting a haircut.  However, you should check with your doctor to see what he/she recommends.

Yes, as long as you have no crusting anymore it's perfectly fine to buzz (not shave) your hair shorter for a more uniform look. When in doubt it never hurts to ask your own doctor, as they know the details of your particular case. Good luck!

If the Scabs, crusts have fallen down & Healing is Good, you can buzz the hair carefully. Better to Reconfirm with your Surgeon first. We allow at 3 weeks to be on safer side.
