Thank you for questions regarding do buttock implants feel cold to the touch. Buttock implants and breast implants are completely different. Comparing buttock implants and breast implants is like comparing apples and oranges. Breast implant can be made of two materials, either saline or silicone. In general, saline can heat up or cool down relatively quickly. On the other hand, silicone takes longer to heat or cool. Silicone breast implants are also made of a cohesive gel, but are nonetheless, a liquid. On the other end of the spectrum, buttock implants are made of a semi-solid. That means buttock implants are not a liquid. Compared to liquid breast implants, it is much more difficult for a solid or semi-solid buttock implant to heat up or cool down. Therefore, breast saline implants cool much quicker than silicone butt implants. Also, I have never had any of my buttock implant patients ever complain that their buttocks are cold. Also, I have never had any of my buttock implants patient’s significant others complain that my patient’s buttocks are cold.
