With breast lifting surgery, risk of loss or change of nipple/ areola sensation is estimated to be between 5 and 10%. Swelling and stretching of the nerves during surgery increases the risk.

I would recommend a donut mastopexy with augmentation- I perform 5-10 of these every week and patients just do not complain of altered sensation or loss of the ability to breastfeed. We know where the nerves travel so I stay clear of those "danger zones."
