Botox takes about three to four months to wear off. If you will not be able to get re-treatment at that time, it is fine to do it slightly earlier. You may not need as much Botox during this second treatment if the effects of the first session are still active. Hi and thanks for your question. I would recommend returning to your doctor at the 2 week point so that they can check if they have given you the optimal dose of Botox. Every patient is different and an amount of Botox that works well for one person is too little for another. The goal of Botox for jaw slimming is to break the habit of grinding or clenching. Yes, it is probably ok to do it at about the 3 months mark.  I usually dose people every 3-4 months based upon their muscle activity.

It is fine to repeat the treatment sooner than the 3-4 months which the Botox lasts for. The dosage can be adjusted down because there will still be an effect of the last treatment at 11 weeks. I frequently do this for my patients all over the face because I have a large percentage of patients from out of town who can't always see me on an every 3-4 month interval.
