Hello and thank you for the question. Every surgeon has their own BMI limit. Your BMI is a little high, but 32 is usually ok for a BBL if you are otherwise healthy. You are good as far as your BMI is concerned. That said, without photos or an in-person examination it is impossible to say if a BBL is the ideal procedure for you.Send a follow up question with your photos or contact a plastic surgeon for an evaluation. I would be happy to see your photos via email and evaluate your case.Best of luck,Dr. Miguel Mota
A good candidate has enough fat available for transfer in the procedure. The amount of fat that can be transferred in a BBL depends on how much fat the patient has to harvest and the amount of space there is to move the fat into. It is recommended for the patient to have a BMI of 30 or less. If you are too thin, a Brazilian Butt Lift may not be possible.
hi thank you for your question and provided information as well .. based on your question it is difficult to evaluate your case if you do not have a photo. My recommendation is that you be seen by your certified plastic surgeon in person.
Thank you for your question. A BMI of 32 is my upper limit for VASER Hi Def Lipo 360 degrees and a BBL.See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.
Thank you very much for the question. After analyzed the information you provided to us, I can tell you are a candidate for BBL, but is good to loose few pounds to achieve the results you really want. I also recommend you to be treated by board certified plastic surgeon with experience in this procedure.Respectfully,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol Cotes.-
Thank you for your question. You are a good candidate for a brazilian butt lift. Although the closer you are to your ideal body weight the better your results will be. If you lose a few pounds and reach your goal weight before the surgery, it will help to minimize risks during and after the surgery. It will also help you get the best results. That said, you definitely have to choose your surgeon correctly and make sure that he/she has the training and experience to meet your goals with absolute safety. A key quality indicator is Board Certification by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. Don’t settle for less than a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with specialized expertise in this procedure.
Dear Beautyvibe123,every plastic surgeon has his protocol regarding the weight. Most will recommend you to loose some weight before the surgery in order to achieve the best results and increase safety. If you are considering a surgery, I would suggest you to consult a board-certified plastic surgeon. Only after a thorough examination you will get more information and recommendations.Daniel Barrett, MDCertified, American Board of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Plastic SurgeryMember, American Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery
Hello Beautyvibe123,It’s a pleasure to answer your questions! Every patient is unique, and there’s no an ideal weight for a successful Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery. Even though your current Body Mass Index (BMI) estimate is 32.8, you can still get high volume Vaser Liposuction with fat transfer to the buttocks. Many of my full-figured patients who desire flat abs and a fuller, beautifully rounded backside opt for BBL surgery, and get amazing results. Request an in-person consultation with an experienced plastic surgeon to assess your candidacy for BBL based on your age, skin laxity, body shape, and health status, among other factors. During the initial consultation, he/she can help you decide if adding volume to your rear will be proportionately appropriate for your appearance and how much fat volume should be grafted. Have in mind that in states such as Florida and New York, the maximum liposuction aspirate that can be taken out are 4 and 5 Liters, respectively. When the lipoaspirate surpasses the 5 Liters, patients are admitted overnight in the hospital. Implementing healthy eating habits and regular exercise (taking advantage of the new increased metabolism after BBL) is essential to keep stimulating weight loss and avoiding retrieving the rendered fat. Best wishes! Dr. De La Cruz.

Hi. My recommendation is for you to lose weight and lower your BMI for safety reasons and best results. Thank you for your question! For my patients having a BBL, I recommend they stay off of their butt completely for the first 10 days post op, then use a BBL pillow for 3 weeks. After that, they have no more sitting restrictions and it is safe to sit on their butt. I recommend discussing specific...
