After the BBL procedure how will you be able to sit after one week on a plane ride for 3 hrs if you did it in another state?

Thank you for your question, most patients travel with their boppy pillow's, they are soft doughnut shaped pillows that will help you sit on places for small periods of time, for our patients we regularly make them travel letters directed to the airlines, so they know our patients may need to stand or kneel on the seat for some time after the seat belt can be taken off.Good luck.Salvador Pantoja M.D.

There are several ways to maneuver to preserve optimal outcome in sitting positions.  Your surgeon should be able to provide you with these recommendations.  I
would search for the board certified plastic surgeon who you feel is
most likely to give you the best results and who performs hundreds of
these procedures each year. I would look at patient reviews as well as

Thanks for the question and provided information as well.
I recommend my patients to wait at least 10 days before flying back to home, and you should not sit for more than 30 mins. every two hours, for the first 2 weeks, and always with the help of a boppy pillow. If you have any concerns, I suggest you follow up close with your plastic surgeon.

I prefer that patients wait a good two weeks to avoid sitting on their buttocks for any length of time.  I think that you are better off doing it locally.

Dear brwnskin,In short, you won't!  I don't allow my patients to sit for 2 full weeks after a BBL.  This is one of the problems with traveling outside of your state for BBL surgery.  Another problem is the increased risk of developing blood clots in your legs if flying within 30 days of surgery.  So, good luck!
