So I just got 230cc implants yesterday. I am 5'7 and 130 lb and pre op was an AA. My goal for post op was to be a large c/ small D , however my doctor decided to go for 280cc implants onstead of my request for 300cc. Will i even be able to fill a C cup now? Though i only had the operation yesterday, i believe they are too small. Will they get bogger with time? Should i have gotten 300cc?
Answer: Too small after breast augmentation? I'm sorry to hear about the concerns you are experiencing after breast surgery.Although I understand your concerns, every patient's anatomy does limit how large of a breast implant can be utilized safely. In other words, the use of a breast implant that is too large for a patient's frame may be problematic in many ways. Given that you are fresh out of surgery, it is definitely too early to evaluate the outcome of the procedure performed. You should be aware that a significant percentage of patients at the early stages of recovery will feel that they are too big or (more commonly) too small. I routinely ask my patients to wait at least 3-6 months before evaluating the end results of the breast augmentation surgery. This waiting time allows patients to (usually) physically and psychologically adapt to the new body image. For example, many of my patients report that as the swelling around the breast implants (for example, in the sternal area) decreases, they feel that their breasts appear more projecting. Also, in my opinion, the "drop and fluff” phenomenon does hold some validity; as breast implants “settle”, many patients feel that their breasts actually look larger. Although online consultants cannot predict whether or not you will be pleased with the long-term outlook, of the procedure performed, it is safe to predict that the breasts will change. Do your best to stay emotionally even keeled. Best wishes for an outcome that you will be very pleased with, regardless of specific cup size achieved.

Answer: Implant sizing? Regardless of cup size, each patient will have a different anatomy to their breasts and have a range of implant sizes that will suit them.Preoperatively, you should have had a physical exam and measurements of your breasts, which the surgeon should have reviewed with you. Those measurements are guidelines for the range of sizes that may fit you appropriately.Your implants will not get bigger, your breasts can get bigger if you gain weight, but the implants stays the same size.Discuss your issues with your plastic surgeon and have him/her explain their choice of implants for you.

Answer: TOO early post op, some advices: Thanks for the question. Its early to talk about results. In my practice, after performing a BA I recommend to my patients to limit the movement of the arms for two weeks. After that, you can move your arms taking care and always with common sense. In this regard, it's not advisable to carry heavy weights to prevent the implant out of position, and allow the formation of the physiological capsule around the implant, also to avoid pain and breast swelling.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol.-

Answer: 280cc silicone implants - too small? Thank you for your question and I am sorry that your current results have caused you to be concerned. I do not think that 280cc implants will yield you a D cup breast but that does not mean that you will not get a very nice result. So recently out from surgery your overall breast appearance will change dramatically over the next several weeks as your implants drop, and the overlying tissues stretch to accommodate the extra volume. In your case the swelling from surgery is flattening your implants and holding them high on your chest. Though they will not get bigger, as the volume within the implant redistributes towards the lower portion of your breast a more natural appearance will be obtained as the lower pole fills out. I know waiting is difficult, but judge your results at 4-6 months after surgery as most of your breast changes should have occurred by then. Hope this helps.

Answer: Go get what you agreed upon There is no way that a 230 cc implant is going to make you a D cup. It is not right that you had agreed on 300 and they did something smaller. I would suggest that you request to have your implants replaced now with larger ones. It can be done right now, or you will have to wait 6 months.
