Nose is over resected/over scooped. Can it be revised to make the bridge higher or bigger with rib cartilage graft? (Photos)

Question

The bridge of my nose has been over resected and scooped in my previous rhinoplasty and I am hoping a revision can fix this . Can the bridge of the nose be build to make it bigger and improve the shape. In the photos I used scar gel to build the nose bridge into my desired shape to give an idea of what I’m looking for. Does anyone who specialize in revisions knows if this can be surgicaly done and are my expectations realistic in the photos ?

Based on your photos, your nasal bridge can be augmented with revision rhinoplasty. Either rib or a custom shaped Gortex graft can build it back up, making it look nice and natural. It looks like you shortened the tip a bit as well which can also be done. Be sure to see a rhinoplasty expert for consultation.

I agree that the upper 1/3 of your nose appears to have a bit of a low bridge appearance. Rather than undergoing surgery, you may wish to consider permanent non-surgical nose job treatments to augment the a proportion of your bridge for a more harmonious and less distracting nasal appearance. Based on your photograph, a revision with nasal tip deprojection and a fascial dorsal onlay graft  would likely help correct the over scooped outlook of your nose. With good surgical technique, you could have an outstanding result. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified rhinoplasty surgeon who can evaluate you in person.

The dorsum can be augmented with fillers, implants. My personal preference is a Silicone implant as it is very well shaped and can be placed and removed easily. Rib cartilage is great but involves a harvesting chest incision or cadaver cartilage. You should talk to your surgeon and follow her/his preference.
