On the fence for a lip lift: am I still a good candidate?

Question

I've never had good teeth show due to a recessed and narrow maxilla. I have a lip lift scheduled in a few months. I just had full veneers done which gave me more teeth show when smiling. My philtrum length is 15.5mm and the plan was to remove 5mm. I only have about 1mm of tooth show at rest. No fillers. I feel based on my front view I still could benefit from a lip lift, but not sure based on my smiling photos as my smile line goes high and I now have decent tooth show.

Thank-you for your question. It is more of a judgement call at this time. You appear to be a good candidate for a lip lift , although your smile is pretty good. The benefit may be more in repose than while smiling, as the shorter vertical length can be aesthetically more pleasing. A lip lift could be a good option. I first started talking and teaching about "tooth show" many years ago and am glad to see that other people are now getting the message.  That's going to be the best way to brighten around your mouth.

Based on the posted photo I would do less of a lip lift then 5mm. Might do 3-4mm only. Best to seek virtual consults with.. BTW fee in the $5,000 ranges.
