What kind of results could I expect from a v-y plasty vs. a lip lift? (Photo)

These are 2 completely different procedures.

You appear to have a long philtrum (distance between nose and upper lip), but you have nice upper and lower lip volume.

A Lip Lift will shorten the distance, enhance the volume of your upper lip, and can increase your tooth show. It does leave a scar at your nasal base but the scar can be treated after surgery and typically does very well with my technique.

A V-Y Lip Augmentation will give you fuller and plumper lips but it doesn’t change the length of the philtrum and in fact will decrease your tooth show.

A corner lip lift will turn the corners out but this procedure is the higher risk of leaving a noticeable scar.

You are a better candidate for a lip lift. A lip lift does 4 things: shortens the distance between your nose and upper lip, increases the mucosa of the upper lip, increases the incisor show and pulls up the corners.
