I’m 18 yr old and want to remove fat in my flanks and stomach. I’ve always had fat there since I can remember and even with an active lifestyle and pretty good diet. My concern is that because I’m young, I will probably gain weight with age even if I matinain my current level of activity and diet. I am a nicotine user. Would you reccomend an alternative to liposuction or is lipo well suited to my situation?
Answer: Liposuction Candiate Thanks for the question, I recommend you waist and back Liposculpture, getting better curves especially in the waist, improving your body contour. Also, I suggested take the fat we get and transfer to the buttocks and hips, to mold them and get better volume, contour and butt projection, is that we know as "Brazilian Butt Lift" (BBL). Kind regards

Answer: Liposuction Thank you for your question. Based on your photos, I believe you may be a good candidate for liposuction. Please keep in mind that you will likely be tested for nicotine the day of surgery because it is an elective procedure. This means that you will need to be off of nicotine for one month prior to your surgery and continue to stay off of it since it can effect your healing process. I recommend speaking to a board certified plastic surgeon to discuss your options.

Answer: Liposuction Thank you for your question. Looking at your photos you have provided I would agree that liposuction is a great option for you. I typically like using an laser assisted liposuction because it will help with the skin retraction. Each surgeon will have their own protocol about smoking and surgery. I typically recommend all patients to stop any form of nicotine 4-6 weeks before surgery and a few weeks after. I would suggest seeing a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in person to evaluate you and discuss your options. Best of luck to you.

Answer: Liposuction Candidate Thank you for your question and images. Based off of your information provided you look to be a great candidate for liposuction alone. Your age indicates that you should have good skin retraction once the minimal fullness is taken down. You can expect to wear a post-surgical garment to help with compression for about 4-8 weeks depending on your physicians guidelines. It is important to find a qualified board certified physician that can do a full assessment and tailor a treatment plan that will help you achieve your desired results.

Answer: Liposuction Yes, based on your photos, you are a good candidate for liposuction of the abdomen and flanks. If you continue a healthy diet and exercise you may stay at a healthy weight for your entire life. Regardless of future weight changes, you can consider treating the areas you don't like now, particularly since the fat has been there for a long time, even with an active lifestyle and good diet. Liposuction will work, and an alternative is Coolsculpting. Liposuction will remove the fat in one session, Coolscultping may take more sessions. As a surgeon, I prefer doing liposuction as I see the fat come out and the result on the operating table, however, I know that with a very good Coolsculpting technician you can also get a good result. It is a good idea to reduce/quit your nicotine use as it improves healing, which can then help obtain a better result. All the best to you, Dr. Nancy de Kleer
