I had inner thigh lipo 8mo ago. The day after, my thighs were slim (what I expected result to be) and I wore compression for a few mo & did lymphatic massages. Weeks later my upper inner thigh started to puff out and lower inner thigh stayed slim. On my surgeon’s recc I massaged nodules under the skin for a few mo, but the puffiness of the area hasn’t gone away (nodules have). My surgeon said the skin likely did not retract. Are there treatments that can reduce the puffiness like RF?
Answer: Liposuction Are you noticing swelling or loose skin? If it is skin laxity you may benefit from treatments such as BodyTite which uses RF technology to tighten skin. An evaluation is needed to determine if you are a good candidate for this treatment. See a board certified plastic surgeon near you to learn more.

Answer: Inner thigh liposuction recovery Dear g2157, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Inner thigh liposuction recovery - are there treatments that can reduce the puffiness? After inner thigh liposuction, swelling and puffiness are common during the recovery period. Compression garments, elevation of the legs, and gentle massages can help reduce swelling. Cold compresses may also provide relief. However, it’s essential to follow your surgeon’s recommendations for a safe and effective recovery. If you’re concerned about persistent puffiness, consult your surgeon for guidance.

Answer: Upper inner thigh liposuction Since I began my career in plastic surgery I have done over 8000 liposuction procedures. The last 12 years of work has been devoted exclusively to doing only Liposuction and fat transfer procedures. I’m a board-certified plastic surgeon. I rarely offer inner thigh liposuction because the area does not respond well to Liposuction. Most women have skin laxity in the area as well as a lack of connective tissue allowing the skin to have lots of mobility. The bulging in the upper inner thigh is almost always related to skin bulging with a normal fat distribution. Since the problem isn’t fat related fat removal doesn’t correct the problem. The exception is very young pudgy women with tight skin. These individuals can see quality results in that area. Upper inner thigh has the worst response to liposuction anywhere on the body. Plastic surgeons with sufficient experience know how difficult it is to get quality results in this area. it’s also very easy to leave indentations in the mid inner thigh and so if you didn’t get an indentation and the only problem was a lack of result you can consider your outcome normal and the only thing that could’ve been done better was perhaps opting not to have the procedure. The lower part of the inner thigh or what we called the inner knee responds very well to Liposuction. For the upper inner thigh most women need to either except the skin laxity or have a thigh lift. fire lifts aren’t great and tend to not be all that popular so it is usually a procedure reserved for those who have had substantial weight loss. You didn’t include pictures so we can’t make an assessment. My statements are just general observations from having done a lot of liposuction. Delivering consistent quality liposuction results is far more difficult than most people including plastic surgeons believe. Best, Mats Hagstrom MD

Answer: Reduction of swelling after liposuction of thighs Hi and welcome to our forum!Swelling after liposuction may initially totally obscure the operative result. Most of the swelling will subside within 4-6 weeks, but it may take up to a year to totally abate. Modalities to reduce swelling include leg elevation whenever possible, the use of lymphatic massage, external compression, and ultrasound or RF treatments, the most effective traeatment is "tincture of time". You are not totally healed yet. Continue follow up care with your plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
