There are several possibilities to explain the swellings under the eyes for which there is insufficient information provided in the question to be able to provide a definitive answer. The likely scenario for this problem is that there were at first slight bags under the eyes for which treatment with filler was performed after which there were persistent or worsened under-eye bags. Under-eye bags, tear troughs and hollows can have a genetic basis and can occur, as well, as part of the natural aging process. Fillers can work well for addressing these problems, if they are injected using the appopriate filler, using the proper injection injection technique(s), and implanted in the proper locations to achieve a smooth lid-cheek transition.. When neither the right filler is injected nor if the wrong locations and technique is used, persistent problems, such as prominent under-eye bags, can occur as a result of lymphedema (lymphatic obstruction), which can be a difficult complication to treat. If the latter is the case, I have personally been able to achieve gratifying results using an algorithm of varying combinations, concentrations and amounts of intralesional anti-inflammatory injections. Alternatively, I have been able to physically shrink the bags employing low intensity electrodessication via insulated probes. You would be wise to make sure to consult with an experienced, board certified cosmetic dermatologist and best of luck.
