Hello, I have a question about injections with hyaluronic acid. I have Vollbella in my lips, but I moved and I have to go to another place. I visited an esthetician who told me it could be dangerous to mix two different hyaluronic acid (cause they don't use Vollbella, I don't know what they do use). Would it be dangerous to mix differents ones? Thanks a lot for your answers, Amélie
Answer: Mixing hyaluronic acid fillers Thank you for your question. There are many great products for lip lines. Juvederm Volbella is the newest FDA approved filler for lip lines. It does a great job at softening lip lines without the bulky or puffy appearance with a one year longevity. For restoring lip volume Juvederm Ultra or restylane can be used. There are a variety of hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers. It is very common to use different HA fillers depending on many factors, and very common and appropriate to use a variety of HA fillers on the same visit. Please consult a local board certified facial plastic surgeon for more information and a comprehensive consultation

Answer: Mixing fillers ok No. I often use a combination of different fillers to deliver the best aesthetic result for my patients. The fact that the place you visited doesn't know this would lead me to recommend that you find a different injector. Preferably a very experienced injector such as a board certified plastic surgeon or cosmetic dermatologist.
