Hello. I had lower lid blepharoplasty 9 months ago. My lower outer corners still have slight swelling, even more so in humid climates. Not sure if the swelling will continue to go down which will smooth things out or the areas are fat. I am not happy with the way they currently look.

Answer: Lateral fat pads What I see in your pictures is residual prolapsed fat in the lateral fat pad. This fat pad is the most common area to see incomplete removal after surgery. I recommend you discuss your concerns with your surgeon if you haven't already spoken to them. They can do an in person exam and discuss your options if you aren't entirely happy with the result.

Answer: Blepharoplasty results At nine months, you don’t have surgical swelling. Your results are now final, and this is what your outcome looks like. To make anAt nine months, you don’t have surgical swelling. Your results are now final and this is what you’re outcome looks like. To make an accurate assessment regarding the outcome of any plastic surgery procedure we generally need to see a complete set of proper before and after pictures. If you don’t have before, and after pictures and ask your surgeon to forward, the pictures they took. Balancing how much fat to remove during a lower eyelid plasty can be tricky. If too much fat is removed, creates hollow Ness, which is extremely difficult to later, correct. It’s far easier to have a revision and go back and take a little more fat out if indicated. Sometimes the addition of midface augmentation can complement lower eyelid, fat pad, removal nicely. Talk to your provider about your concerns regarding the outcome. To get a proper second opinion consultation always come prepared to bring with you a complete set of proper before and after pictures and a copy of your operative report.
