Choking after face and neck lift - platysmaplasty. What can I do about this?

I face and neck lift and platymasty over 1 year ago. I have horrible strangling in my neck and pulling on my jawline and behind my ears. The dr said he used dissolvable stitches but feel they have not dissolved. Can someone please recommend a surgeon on NY to help me. This has been a nightmare. I have tried, Botox, steroids, red light, hyperbaric chamber, PT, medical massage and nothing he’ll. I have also tried nerve and muscle medication. I would appreciate your help.

Sometimes the muscle can be overly tightened or deeper sutures may loop in some of the deeper neck structures. This is exceedingly rare but it has been described. This would require going back into surgery to release the muscle and/or scar tissue and/or sutures that may be holding the neck structures so tight.

You situation seem to be a bit unusual. Without in person evaluation it would be impossible to give you meaningful advice. Consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon(s) with expertise in face/neck lift is recommended. Check websites, reviews and make few office calls to find out about prospective surgeons.
