Why would my right brow raise up after I had a left brow lift?
I had a unilateral direct brow lift (browplasty) to my left brow a couple of weeks ago to bring it up to the same height as my right brow. There was about 1/3 inch difference in height between the brows. Immediately following the left brow lift my right brow rose about ¼ inch higher than it was before surgery. I noticed it when I looked in the mirror as soon as surgery had concluded. The right brow has remained in that elevated position and as a result the brow asymmetry is worse now than it was before surgery. My oculoplastic surgeon could not explain why this would happen. He said he has never encountered it before in his many years of doing direct brow lifts. Why/how would my right brow raise up when I had a left brow lift? What can be done? (other than Botox). If revision surgery is required (eg to raise the left brow further so it is closer in height to the right brow) how long would I have to wait before this can be done?
