Answer: It is never too late to meet your beauty goals Hello, thank you for posting your question and photos. Nasolabial folds, or smile lines, can become more prominent with age as the skin loses elasticity and volume. Fortunately, dermal fillers offer an effective solution for treating nasolabial folds and restoring a smoother, more youthful appearance. By carefully injecting filler into the area around the folds, a board-certified facial plastic surgeon can plump up the skin and reduce the depth of the creases. RHA fillers are popular for deep nasolabial folds because they mimic natural hyaluronic acid produced in the body for more natural results. RHA fillers are also long-lasting, up to 18 months, and can be tailored to meet your needs with four different formulas. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with a reputable board-certified facial plastic surgeon and expert injector. They will be able to evaluate your concerns and treatment history, then determine the best course of action to achieve your desired results.

Answer: Laugh Lines / Nasolabial Folds - Fillers + Sculptra, Lasers like Fraxel/Clear + Brilliant, Radiofrequency, Peels, Skin Care I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion (J Plasma), thread lifting, and peels to get the most conservative, natural look. I suggest seeing a facial sculpting expert for a formal consultation. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Nasolabial folds From your photo you appear to be a good candidate for HA fillers. They are the gold standard to soften the depth and approve the appearance of nasolabial folds. The treatment is done in the office and you will be able to see some of the effect right away. See an expert injector near you for treatment.

Answer: Treating the cause NOT the effect Nasolabial folds are the most common complaint we get from women in the thirty-ish age bracket. It is very tempting to spend just a little bit of money to have dermal filler done in the folds to reduce them. This is really not the best way to address the problem. Most injectors who are experienced will advise you to treat the cause, which is loss of volume in the mid-face (cheeks). As we age into our thirties, the beautiful fat pads in the upper part of our cheek starts to retract. As we loose this volume, the first sign we see is the nasolabial folds. If you treat the cause by replacing some volume in the mid-face, you will have the best, most natural looking result. You will want to budget for at least two syringes. It may seem a little pricey, but you will be able to clearly see a difference. If you try to "split" one syringe between both cheeks, you may still spend around $900, but you will not really see much from it. Plan on getting two syringes and you will be happy with the outcome.
