Surgical tape left possible scar on face and cleavage? (photos)

I'm sorry to hear about the problems you are having and I'm not sure from what you describe why you would have a mark on your cheek.  However, it appears that you had a blister caused by the tapes used.  These pigment issues are almost always temporary and will go away with time.  Maderma is unlikely to help but I would recommend keeping sunscreen on the areas to avoid more permanent pigmentation issues.  You should be fine.  Best of luck with your continued healing!

your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation,
and concerns.

Having said that, you could consider some scar treatments
from prescription ointments, silicone sheeting, taping the incisions with steri-strips,
or steroid tape. All of these have been shown to be beneficial. As for your face? UV block is going to be really important. Depending on your heritage, you may be prone to darkening scars in which case, some melanin blocking medication may be indicated.

Hi, shayex3.  Sorry to hear that you got scars from tapes.  I think you are doing the right treatment for your scars.  Please continue with your scar management (including sun screen) and follow up with your plastic surgeon.  Scars will improve with time and proper care.  Best wishes.

Tape may be used on the cheek to fix the tube that connects to the ventilator.  The reaction is superficial (epidermis only).. Mederma will not speed the resolution.  Sun block is important.  Complete resolution is expected.

Appears as superficial 1st degree burn that will self improve over the next few weeks................
