I had a BA about 10 months ago, 400cc cohesive gel round smooth UHP under the muscle, incision in the fold. I am very happy with my results and have had a smooth recovery. I am 23 weeks pregnant and I'm having a hard time finding information about how my breasts will feel or what differences I can expect during pregnancy and with breastfeeding. I am sore and tender around the nipples. Is this normal?
Answer: Recently augmented breasts with pregnancy and breast feeding I appreciate your question.Every woman is different. Yes sore and tenderness around the nipples is normal as you breasts are changing with pregnancy. You may also experience other breast swelling and tenderness throughout your pregnancy. The best way to assess and give true advice would be an in-person exam. Please see a board-certified plastic surgeon that specializes in aesthetic and restorative breast surgery.Best of luck!Dr Schwartz

Answer: Pregnancy and Breast Feeding after breast augmentation Thank you for your question. You will most likely experience the same sensations and changes in your breasts that you would without the implants. It is very common to have sore breasts and nipples with pregnancy, that is very normal. Also the breast implants should not effect your ability to breast feed, but the effects of breast feeding to your breast can vary. It is common for the breasts to become saggy after breast feeding, but it is hard to say to what degree, that is different for everyone. If you would like more information regarding breast augmetnation you can download a free copy of my breast augmentation planner at ABetterBreast.com.

Answer: Changes Every women is different, but you may experience similar things to women in your family who have your similar breast size. Most women do notice tenderness and some swelling in their breasts even at a very early stage. Some breasts change a lot--bigger or smaller, and some breasts do not. Also, every pregnancy is a little different as you age. Your implants, however, will remain the same. Congratulations about your new baby! Your ob/gyn doctor may suggest some helpful reading material about what you may expect during your pregnancy and about the growth of your baby.

Answer: Pregnancy and breastfeeding Subpectoral implants shouldn't have a big impact on the function of the breast. You will have expansion of the skin envelope and will have to expect some increased skin laxity after childbearing and breast feeding. Pregnancy in general is not the best friend of your youthful body. Just remember that paying for your breast lift or tummy tuck is way less expensive than when your little precious decides to go to a private college.

Answer: Pregnancy and breast implants. Hi, Thanks for posting your question. I am happy to try and help you. It is important to remember that a board certified plastic surgeon will be your best resource when it comes to an accurate assessment of your situation, and concerns. Having said that, your breasts will respond to the pregnancy by getting larger and heavier. The milk will come in afterwards and also contribute to stretch. How your body and breasts respond to the after, is up to your genetics. You may get a nice bounce back or you may be droopy. It depends. I hope you found this helpful. A Have a great day.
