My thighs are lumpy, big lumps on my inner knee. Is it just fat or is it a disorder?

Sometimes lipomas need surgical removal, sometimes this is Lipedema and needs liposuction.You need a formal evaluation by an expert in body shaping and contouring to determine what is best.  Traditional liposuction awake and smart liposuction are old methods and do very poorly for tightening skin or significant skin tightening or contouring.  Small problem areas can be improved slightly by these methods.  The best in body contouring not only removes fat with energy devices like VASER ultrasound but also internally heat the skin with radio-frequency devices such as J PLASMA/RENUVION, InMode BodyTite, ThermiRF to heat the under surface of the skin and tighten it at the same time as fat removal. The inner knees are a common problem area for many women and these well defined areas of fat can be greatly improved with liposuction.  There is no realistic treatment for cellulite at this time and anyone who tells you that they can eliminate it is being less than honest. Consult with a board-certified plastic surgeon in your area to explore the best options for you.

Hi and welcome to our forum!Without photos or height / weight data, it is impossible to determine the cause of your problem.Lipomatosis is a condition in which multiple lipomas develop. It is usually a benign condition, but may also be associated with other disease such as Gardner syndrome, adiposis dolorosa, familial multiple lipomatosis, Madelung disease, and Cowden syndrome.To determine the nature of these growths and to treat them, I recommend an evaluation / examination by a board certified plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
