I am wearing and doing everything I am supposed to do . I am concerned about the marks and creased that can be permanently left . Is this normal ? Would it go away . What can i do ?

Great question. I am sorry for your post op difficulties. Based on your images, it appears your very recent rom your surgical procedure. It can take up to six months for all swelling to subside. Keep following up with your surgeon.

It is too soon to tell what your final results will be - you are still in the initial post-op stages.. You have swelling, which can last 3-6 months after your procedure. I recommend adding hyperbaric oxygen and lymphatic massage along with your compression to help decrease swelling. To improve your final results, I also recommend adding vanquish for further fat removal, exilis/venus legacy for skin tightening, cellutone/z wave to make the skin smooth, remove scar tissue, and improve the skin’s appearance. Dear smr_living,I understand your concern and it is quite normal to be concerned about the outcome following a tummy tuck surgery. However, you are still in the very early stages of the healing process.
Your will need to be patient at this moment and follow what your surgeon has instructed you to do post operatively.
  
At the early stage of the healing process, the tissues are still swollen. Once the swelling subsides  you will be able to see the final result of your surgery.

Thank you for your questions and pictures.  By the looks of things, you a very recently post op and will require at least 3 to 6 months to start healing and for all the inflammation to go away.  These concerns will most likely resolve by then.

smr_livingI appreciate your concern, however it is still extremely early in your postoperative recovery journey and it appears from your photographs that your areas of concern are secondary to swelling after the combination of tummy tuck and liposuction. It may take as long as six months for complete recovery and realization of your final result. Try to stay patient and positive and follow up with your plastic surgeon. Good luck.

The incisions especially in the corners of a tummy tuck often have this appearance earlier in recovery.  In order to not form "dog ears" the skin on the upper side of the incision is often pulled towards the midline. This can form the appearance that you are seeing but this usually almost always settles down and become smooth with time. It is much better than leaving patience with "dog ears". Be patient. I think results look fairly indicative of final results around six weeks but in reality 3 to 6 months is needed especially when it comes to the incision which can improve for as long as 18 months. Best, Mats Hagstrom M.D.
