I currently have liquid silicone in my buttocks that I received over 10 years ago with no complications. I’m looking to have liposuction on the flanks, stomach, chest and chin since I don’t want to do cool sculpting.. I wanted to know if I would be able to transfer the fat to my buttocks.Which leads me to my next question about cost. With neck liposuction… along with the stomach, flanks and chest then transferd to the buttocks how much would I be looking at? Thank you
Answer: Fat transfer to buttocks pre-existing silicone injections, is it safe to do? How much is the costs? Thank you for your question and photos. Based on these photos, you are a great candidate for VASER HI Def Lipo of your torso 360 degrees, chest and arms to give you a masculine chiseled body. I would not inject fat into your buttocks in light of previous liquid silicone injections. This is a blind injection and if one injects fat into the silicone gel, that fat will not get vascularized and will necrose. You could end up with irregularities and even possible major infections. Leave the buttocks alone. The shape is fine.See a board certified plastic surgeon experienced in advanced body sculpting techniques for an in person consultation/evaluation. Good luck.

Answer: HYALUNORIDASE INJECTIONS, FOLLOWED BY VASER LIPO AND FAT TRANSFER TO THE BUTTOCKS. Hello Edward504, I appreciate your questions! Patients who have had silicone and/or other non-FDA approved filler injections for body contouring (even without any manifestation of adverse effects) should consult with an experienced plastic surgeon to be evaluated and discuss their particular condition and potential risks for complications. An Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) scan may be necessary to determine the location of the injected material. The treatment varies from patient to patient, since no two cases are exactly the same. This may range from surgical excision, to hyaluronidase injection followed by VASER Liposuction and fat transfer into the area to correct the resultant deformity. Many of my patients chose to have excess fat removed from specific areas of the body such as the abdomen, flanks, and back with VASER Liposuction and transfer it to reconstruct the buttocks after the silicone material has been removed. Fat cells treated and removed during VASER Liposuction are typically of high quality, and are viable to re-introduce into the body in a fat transfer procedure. Depending on your particular situation, the price of Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) surgery may vary from $10,000 to $20,000 in the U.S. Cost factors for butt enhancement procedures include: your surgeon’s expertise and experience, where you have your BBL surgery done (which country and city), the type of anesthesia or sedation that your surgeon uses, medications for your recovery, manual lymphatic drainage massages sessions, and your specialized compression garments and any other material needed to help you heal properly. Many surgeons’ practices, mine included, offer payment plans or financing to help make BBL surgery more affordable. Otherwise, discounts for paying the full amount up-front, in cash, are also available. Best regards! Dr. De La Cruz.

Answer: Fat transfer to buttocks pre-existing silicone injections Thank you for your inquiry. Fat transfer to the butt is also known as the Brazilian butt lift. It involves removing excess fat deposits from areas such as the abdomen, waist/ flanks, and back using liposuction. Liposuction is a very safe and effective way to remove fat from specific areas of the body. The fat which is removed is then transferred to the butt in order to improve the size and shape of the butt. People love the results because it makes such a big difference in how they fit into their clothing such as jeans. It is one of our most popular procedures. Thank you,Shain A. Cuber, MD

Answer: Fat injections after liquid silicone buttock injections Your pictures show a normal butt with nice smooth round contours. In the face of prior silicone injections I would advise against fat transfer. Liquid silicone is dangerous due to the formation of micro-granulomas and fibrosis that clogs lymphatic channels. The fact that you have so far had no complications from this illegal treatment does not mean that you are not a risk in the future, especially if you develop an infection.Fat injections are unreliable in that 50-80% of the transferred fat will not survive. Placing this fat into an area already compromised by prior silicone injections is far too risky and should not be performed.A surgeon willing to do this to you may not have your best interest at heart since the risks are not outweighed by any potential benefit. As far as costs are concerned: hopefully you will be choosing your surgeon based on more than costs. The cheapest option in medicine is not always the best option. In the surgical theater there is no substitute for experience and judgement, and the service you receive is far more important than any cost savings.
