I know to expect swelling and bruising after lip injections but I am wondering if I need to be concerned about the amount of bruising I am experiencing. This is the first time I have been injected with Juvederm Plus and I feel like every time I look in the mirror my lips look worse and worse. I iced on and off for hours after the injections. The pics are 12 hours after the procedure.

Juvederm and Restylane can absolutely be layered on top of each other. However, generally Juvederm produces more swelling than Restylane. Be certain to consult a board certified dermatologist with experience with these delicate lip injections before proceeding. Best, Dr. Green

want the "swollen" result to be your actual long term result I would
encourage and counsel you to go slowly and progressively to obtain the
long term look you want. There is no magic number of syringes it
may take but placing them one at a time to build up to the look...
