In 2006 I went to Dr. McFadden for a mommy makeover. The quality care I received at ACS and the amazing results that was accomplished is what brought me back 17 years later for my Septorhinoplasty. I have put this surgery off for years even though my ENT kept persisting. There is no one else I would trust to perform this procedure. I was a challenging patient with a septum being deviated in multiple places as well as infant size airways. My main goal was to be able to breathe. I figured while Dr. Magic McFadden was is there he could take out my hump that I have had for 35 years. He mastered all the obstacles I threw at him. His staff was remarkable. From all the pre-op visits, the day of surgery and the visits after, they all were so informative with all the steps and procedures and what to expect. They truly care about you as a person. As far as my results, as you can see my hump is gone and my nose has more definition. However, what you can’t see is that I am no longer a mouth breather like I had been for over 30 years. I no longer take 2 medications that I was taking for constant congestion and sinus issues. This was much more that just a cosmetic procedure. It has changed my life and I am truly grateful for all that Dr. McFadden and his staff has done. If you are looking to have any procedure at all done I urge you to get a consultation at ACS because you won’t be disappointed.
Doctor McFadden is a excellent surgeon I had lower face and neck lift and I'm so excited with my results I would recommend Dr. McFadden a 100 times over He listened to my concerns and worries He was very professional and very caring
At 56, I finally decided to take the plunge and get the (mini) facelift and skin resurfacing I had been contemplating for over a decade. As a former smoker and someone who had never taken good care of my skin - only really using sunscreen on a daily basis after I'd already turned 40 - I was unhappy with the wrinkles, freckled/blotchy/red skin and jawline laxity that were the inevitable results of such neglect. I can't really say why I chose Dr. McFadden, other than that he was the right provider, in the right place, at the right time. I'd met with other surgeons before, but always chickened out when it came time to schedule. This time, I was ready to take the plunge and he seemed like a reasonable choice considering his pricing, location (about 10 minutes from my home) and availability. I just got tired of overthinking things, I suppose. Although, like so many surgeons these days, Dr. McFadden offers this procedure under sedation and local anesthetic, I chose general anesthesia because I am extremely squeamish and could not stand the idea of having any awareness of what was happening. They prescribed several anti-nausea medications to ensure my comfort and I had no complications during or after the surgery. They also set me up with several pre and post-op supplements designed to minimize swelling and bruising and hasten the recovery process. I took them as directed and think they have helped, given that the bruising hasn't been too bad and I bruise extremely easily. At this point, it is too soon to comment on final results, as I am posting this only 5 days after the operation and only one day after the laser resurfacing, but I can at least say that nothing too bad has happened!
After doing some research for a plastic surgeon for a tummy tuck, I went in for a tummy tuck December 2019. I really liked the after results of his prior patients. For 14 years, I had been really self-conscience about my stomach after giving birth. I did not let anyone see it, nor would I look at it myself. I am so happy with my results now! I also had chin and cheek lipo. I have always had big cheeks and wanted a slimmer appearance in the jaw line. I am super happy with those results and the tummy tuck.Because of the great experience, I also returned for other services: Votiva and Botox. I am very satisfied with the customer service experience and services.Dr. McFadden and his staff are great!
After doing lots of research I went with Dr.McFadden. So far I can’t say enough positives about him and his staff. From making the appointment to my consultation and surgery. When I went in Dr.McFadden answered all my questions and was very kind. I originally though I would need small implants with my lift to achieve the upper crest fullness and he was very honest that it would give me that but only for a short while until they settle and implants put more weight on the breast and could increase the chance of needing another lift along the way. I appreciated him explaining that a lot. He even explained to me how I was wearing the wrong band size and I needed to go on smaller for support. I opted for a breast lift without implants. When I had additional questions the week before I contact the care coordinator and set me up for another consultation the day before surgery to make sure all my questions were answered. I one day post op and am very little pain more uncomfortable than anything. I’ll keep updated on my progress! But so far I am extremely pleased. Updated on 15 Dec 2018: Not a lot of pain today, haven’t taken a pain pill all day. I’ll get an occasional pain underneath in the anchor pet of the scar but that’s it. I’m actually really surprised at how little pain there is. A little bit of bruising but it’s pretty minimal, maybe because of all the vitamins they have had me take. Updated on 18 Dec 2018: Some of the strips fell off between last night and today and oh man was I not ready to see what’s underneath. The scars looks freaky. Stitches around the nipple come out tomorrow at my appointment. I’m starting to notice my nipples aren’t even. I’m gonna have to remember to ask about that tomorrow. Updated on 19 Dec 2018: I had my 1 week post op appointment today. They removed the rest of the strips and took out like half the stitches. I’m actually surprised how well the vertical scar looks. Today was also day 1 back to work. It was a hectic day but not too bad as far as the girls go.
I'm a few weeks post-op for full lower extremity liposuction and can already tell a difference. Dr. McFadden discussed my expectations with me and he really listened. Dr. McFadden's team is great. They are very nice and willing to answer any questions I have. However, the surgical tech did nothing to make me feel more comfortable. She doesn't seem to be as much of a people person. I would like to mention a few things that I think the staff should consider. 1. A patient should be given the option to what happens to the before and after photos. For my breast augmentation with a different surgeon, I had to sign a release to allow them to be put on the surgeon’s website. I could be wrong, but I thought the release that I signed here was only a general release about the photos. I realize they need to be taken, but I'd prefer mine to be limited to my file. 2. What will happen in the operating room should be explained completely to the patient beforehand which leads me to #3. 3. A patient’s dignity should be preserved as much as possible. A patient should not be uncovered until it’s absolutely necessary and the patient is asleep. I had to stand on a pad open to the doorway to the hall completely naked w/ my arms out while I was washed from head to toe with betadine before climbing up on the table (still completely naked). I knew that IT WAS NECESSARY and that it WOULD BE EMBARRASSING and I was right. However, I was not warned ahead of time. That's my big issue. It was just a shock that I was not prepared for. • I would think that it would be easy to have a 3-sided partition setup next to the table open to the table for the patient to stand behind while being washed down so that they don't feel so exposed in a large, cold room. • I realize the team needed to be able to flip me during surgery, but I still feel that surgical drapes could be used from the waist up. It only takes a few minutes to remove a surgical drape, flip the patient, then replace with another sterile surgical drape. • There should be a high drape at the patient's head between the anesthesiologist and the surgery being performed before the patient is uncovered. I have a picture of what an ideal setup would be but there's no way to upload a picture. Here's a site that shows the drape at the head: http://gomerblog.com/2016/10/puppet-show/. Here's a site with a 3-fold screen that could be used in a "U" shape.. https://medikabazaar.com/cmp-hospital-bed-screen-3-fold
Even at my skinniest, I held on to fat in my neck. Really needing a tummy tuck after my twins but not really being ready to shell out that kind of money, I opted to fix the one part of your body that you can’t hide. I wish I would’ve done it sooner. The difference is incredible and it hasn’t even been a week yet. Worth it ???? Updated on 11 Nov 2017: Bruising post op Updated on 19 Nov 2017: So the first few days after were great. I? was in more pain but less swollen. I? stopped wearing the garment and that was a mistake. The swelling happened over a few days and I? didn’t realize what was happening until I? was in a ton of pain. Updated on 9 Jan 2018: Some scarring inside that makes my neck tight. Hopefully after the next few ultrasound treatments, it will heal up all the way. ??
I love Advanced Cosmetic Surgery! I have done several skinpen treatments light chemical peels and facials with McKenzie I am so please with my skin. Dr. McFadden did my Jawline tightening and I couldn't be happier, he did phenomenal. I feel more confident and younger thank you ACS!
I’ve worked out for years and tried everything in the book. At the end of the day I like food and lack discipline but once I?m in a routine i stay consistent. Liposuction will give the confidence to continue my journey. I have talked to two people who use Dr. McFadden and my surgery is set for 12/20. Updated on 9 Nov 2017: So I’ve been playing with this app for some before and after pictures. I think it looks ok. I?m getting excited! Updated on 21 Dec 2017: Pre-Op and post op sneak peek; I had every intention of putting more on here but it seems as if my nerves got the best of me. The before pictures were right before the doctor started drawing on me. I have small rolling veins and didn’t consider. So the anesthesiologist has to insert the IV into my hand after numerous tries. They like to only stick you once so I prayed that of this was for me, it would work. AND it did! Once I was in the OR and they administered the anesthesia, I don’t remember much. The last picture is of everything they took out. My mom and girl friend said it looked like chitterlings. LOL. The pain is UNREAL when I try to move around but when I’m still, it’s bearable. Let’s see what tomorrow brings! Updated on 21 Dec 2017: Updated on 25 Dec 2017: So the pain is gone but the swelling and bruising is in full effect. Yikes! I have my first doctors appointment on the 27th so 1 more day. I’m down to pain medicine once a day and vitamins 3 times a day. I still have this odd ringing but other than that, I feel like I’m recovering nicely. Any advice or tips? Updated on 1 Jan 2018: I’m finally starting to feel like myself again! The first few days were HORRIBLE. Now my energy level is coming back and the ringing in my ear isn’t as bad but still there. They say it takes a while to see the results but I think I can finally see them and my weight has gone down by 11 lbs. What do you all think? Results or No? Updated on 18 Jan 2018: So it’s been 4 weeks and I can finally see the difference. I’m told it only gets better! I start working out next week so I’m excited! The initial pain was horrible but I remember the nurse telling me I would initially hate her but then I’d love her, she’s right! I’m pleased with everything except my back. I don’t see a change at all but I’m being patient. There’s hopefully an option for correction but I can’t do anything if I will feel the pain that I felt before.
I've always wanted bigger breasts. After puberty I topped out at about a 34b. Both my mom and my older sister got the big boob gene, but I was skipped! At 21 I had my first, and only, child. I breastfed and had huge knockers at that time, lol. After I stopped breastfeeding and lost the baby weight, I was left with a less perky 34a. I have my breast aug scheduled for June 8th, 2017! Updated on 13 Jun 2017: The last several days have been a blur! I intended to update each day after. I knew from the start if chosen the right surgeon. Dr. McFadden and his team are phenomenal. I couldn't have had a more pleasant, easy experience. I'm 5'9 135, pre op size was a small 34b. I ended up with 450cc HP mentor silicone unders via transaxillary incision. Hoping to be a D cup once everything settles. Very happy so far! My one week post op appointment is ok Thursday. Updated on 27 Jun 2017: Things are going well, incisions are healing and breasts are dropping. My PS told me I could only strap at night now. I was expecting another 2 weeks of the strap 24/7, so this was a pleasant surprise!! Right now measuring a 34D/32DD. They still have a lot of dropping to do. Couldn't be happier!
It is quite normal to have a significant amount of swelling after lip implants. Of course, everyone is different. Steroids are not a good idea as they may predispose you to infection. Ice is very helpful for the first one to two days to help decrease the swelling down the road. Give yourself a good 10 days to get over the acute swelling but residual swelling of the remaining 10% or so may take as long as a few months to resolve. If you have any lingering concerns, then I would address this with your surgeon. I wish you the best.
You appear to have some issues that are commonly misunderstood by patients and surgeons alike. It is important to know exactly what the problem is (a proper diagnosis) so that an accurate and proper solution can be given. It is also important to know what the limitations of the solution(s) are. This is why an in person consultation is required. First, the bad news (and I apologize if this is a bit blunt) - evaluations are best done for patients in static (resting) positions. Evaluations for dynamic, e.g., smiling, animations are less constant, less reliable and more individual. The anatomy for each may be slightly different and the underlying attachments, or lack thereof, may be different and inconsistent. Therefore, results cannot be fairly evaluated in a dynamic (smiling) position. That is not to say that improvements cannot be made in dynamic situations, only that it is not really a fair judgment of the result of what can be done. The good news is that you do have issues that can be addressed. One must always evaluate the skin quality, underlying shape issues and volume issues. It appears that only one of these pillars was addressed in your minimal shape issues. Skin quality is most often the problem and most often the most significant problem. You appear to have slightly lax skin. Thus, the solution is to contract the skin. Surgery only treats underlying shape problems and is never the solution for a skin issue. In other words, surgery never improves the quality of the skin nor does it treat wrinkles. It appears that you would need either a laser resurfacing or a radiofrequency treatment(s) to improve the laxity of your skin. Thus, patients should really get what they really NEED, not so much what they want (what they think they need). If one doesn't treat the skin, it has never been treated. I think you get the idea. Mini procedures produce mini results, which is appropriate for people with mini needs. Once the skin and shape issues are addressed, it is appropriate to finally evaluate the volume issues, i.e., deficiency or excess, and choose an appropriate solution. All of us tend to lose volume (facial fat and even muscle thickness) over time as we get older. Welcome to the club. This is important, but in my opinion, unless you have really let yourself go, is a fine tuning maneuver in most instances. The other two issues are the majority of the problem most of the time. I wish you the best.
I am going to be blunt and honest. With breasts of your size, you're going to pay a severe penalty for stretching of the overlying skin and breast tissue. The time will come sooner or later but it will come. Once this happens, the damage will be permanent and cumulative over time. I would highly recommend that you reduce your breast size to something more proportionate with your trunk size. A breast lift will only delay the inevitable. A breast reduction incorporates a breast lift as well. All breasts will eventually fall. It's just a matter of rate of fall. I would encourage you to slow the rate as much as possible by reducing your breast size. I wish you the best.
Of course, you would need an in person consultation for the best advice. My personal preference is to keep the results natural looking as much as possible. That means that your choice of implant size should be proportionate to your torso. What's important, however, is your preference. At 495 cc's, and at 5'7" and 120 pounds, you will go from tiny to enormous. Eventually, there will be a price to pay for large breast implants and it will stretch the overlying breast and skin tissue inevitably resulting in the need for a breast lift in years to come. Almost certainly, that will be required as a result of your choice now. I would be very cautious and wise about your choice today. I wish you the best.
The overlying skin and breast tissue is always stretched by the weight of the implants. This was likely discussed with you during your preoperative consultation. The breasts generally fall or sag downward and outward. The shape is generally very nice with slight resolution of the projection with time and a little bit of bottoming out at the implant which is inevitable. As always, an in person consultation is required for the best advice. My recommendation is, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." You look pretty good right now and there's no need for revision. There is truth to smaller implants being better for the long term. If the problem was saggy breasts to begin with, then the solution should be to focus on fixing the saggy breasts and not adding to the weight to compound the problem. I wish you the best.
