I am interested in having a procedure done but am unsure of what it is I need - I feel my lower face (jaw/chin region) is asymmetrical - is this something that could be fixed with Botox or filler? Thankyou
Answer: Options Without standardized photos it is hard to evaluate your concern, I strongly advise you to seek a consultation with an experience injector who understands your facial anatomy. Without a proper consultation it is hard to advise specifically what plan of treatment to take. Some options available for patients with Jaw/Chin region lower face asymmetrical can be:1.Chin Augmentation- surgical approach ( Projection and symmetry)2. Buccal Fat Removal- slimming of face 3. Masseter Botox-non-surgical ( Lower face symmetry and slimming of face)4. Kybella-non-surgical ( define Jawline and Chin, slimming of face)5.Filler-non-surgical ( Filler on Jawline to define, Chin filler to project/Symmetry , help with symmetry ) Best, Dr. Anil Shah MD FACS

Answer: Botox for Asymmetry Correction in the Lower Face Hi and thanks for your question. From your picture, I think you are a much better candidate for Botox than fillers. I would guess that you like your slimmer side better and would like to have the more full side be reduced to match. This can be accomplished with careful injections of Botox into the fuller side. I think that the asymmetry is caused by clenching or grinding on one side more than the other, which will be relieved with Botox. Your asymmetry is not that obvious, but I understand how you could be bothered by it. To my eye, a slimmer jawline would be feminize your face and that would be a big aesthetic benefit. Injecting fillers into the slimmer side would make your jaw bulkier and would masculinize your face. This, it seems to me, would be an aesthetic negative for you. Hope that helps and feel free to call my office with any questions.

Answer: Jawline filler Depending on your goals, fillers, botox, and/or skin tightening may be the answer. Chin implant is another great permanent option to consider. From your photos, your lower 1/3 could benefit from slight vertical augmentation. If I assume the side view can tolerate some projection, then filler or implant is the right answer. If any minor joweling is still present, then I’d recommend some form of skin tightening (facetite, fractora, or Morpheus).

Answer: Jawline Treatment Hello,Botox & Fillers in combination can certainly help with your concerns.Botox would be placed in each side of the jaw to relax the muscle in this area creating an overall slimmer jaw appearance. Filler could be placed afterwards to help with any asymmetries to balance out the one side to match the other.
