I am having a breast enlargement in 1 week, but for the past few days have been experiencing numbness and tingling in my feet. Is this something to be concerned about? I am worried about blood clots. I have been unable to get an appointment with my GP before my surgery.

Answer: Pre-Op Concerns - Risk for Blood Clots Hi cece190, It is normal to be concerned about risks involved when undergoing breast augmentation surgery. During your pre-operative consult, your plastic surgeon should have discussed your options as well as the risks involved. It is best that you speak with your plastic surgeon and discuss your concerns. This way, your surgeon can provide you with reassurance before undergoing surgery. Answer: Ask your surgeon It is best if you call you surgeon with your concerns. It is hard to tell what is going on without a physical examination. In surgery they will put pneumatic compression device on your legs to encourage your blood flow. Best of luck in our upcoming surgery.
