The VI Peel and theObagi Peels are both classified as medium depth peels and as such, should beperformed by people skilled in the use of peeling agents, under the auspices ofa board certified dermatologist or plastic surgeon. Thanks for the question. They are both medium depth peels. The VI peel is almost painless, and requires no skin pre conditioning that is required by Obagi Blue Peel and other TCA peels when used on skin types 4 to 6. In addition, the VI Peel has very few of the complications and hazards that usually come with those peels.Hope this helps.
