I have Fitzpatrick IV/V skin with pretty severe hyperpigmentation, and when I first booked a series of three treatments, I thought I should use them all on the VI Precision Plus. It would be my first experience with chemical peels, though, so now I'm thinking I should start with the original, which might not be as effective for me but would allow me to see how my skin reacts to a baseline before trying something stronger. Do you think it be a waste of time/money, or is it better to be cautious?
Hi, I am a South Asian male (32 years). I have had acute acne scarring in the past and although the acne is under control, I visited a derma spa in NYC that suggested using a VI Chemical Peel 2 weeks ago. While the peel was being applied, the skin immediately showed hyperpigmentation. When I started peeling two days later, the face was very pink/bruised . 5 days later the skin turned very dark and remains the same way despite taking care. What can I do? The face is now discolored and with scars
I presume this question should go out to a dermatologist. Which peel provides better results: VI Precision or Jessner Peel? I have fine lines starting to form on my upper lip. I am an ex-smoker. I am Asian so my complexion is a bit darker. Thank you.
I am 43 yrs old and have some sun damage on my cheeks, forehead and nose. I had a few perfect ten peels the results are just okay. I am considering getting a VI peel. What kind of peel would you recommend for sun damage and just help even skin tone. Thank you in advance! Sandra
I am Asian Indian, 36 yr old. I have tan skin, suddenly last year 2 dark spots appeared on my both cheeks, and cystic acne. I tried Tazorac 0.25%, HQ 8% cream with Kojic acid & IPL treatments (1 full face and 3 spot tx). Currently I am on oral antibiotic and spironlactone. I think Taz helped me with acne significantly but IPL left me with 5 spots. no change in brown spots, and 2 IPL burn spots. I want to know if VI peel for acne skin is a good option for me, or something else...Please help
I have dark spots around my cheeks. I managed to somewhat clear my skin last year with a series of 4 peels (I think they were various PCA peels of varying strengths, starting off with light peels then moving forward with deeper peels and 2 microdermabrasion with a facial. In any rate, I stopped taking care of my skin, I thought at 36 my acne phase was over as I went several months without getting any acne. Now, I need to clear my face up again. Plans to get VI Peel, but would a laser work?
I keep hearing conflicting information about microneedling, radio frequency, lasers, Vi Peel. I have done some chemical peels (not Vi) but Im looking for something with more dramatic results with the least chance of hypo or hyperpigmentation or scarring.
What sort of treatment is suggested to get rid of scars with PIH on chest skin leftover from acne AND superficial 2nd degree burns? I have an olive complexion and there's no hypertrophy but I do have hyperpigmentation mixed with the hyperpigmentation. I got aerolase lightpod spot treatment on each of my scars and there was no change. Another aesthetician suggested VI body peel but not sure if it will go deep enough and I'm scared to get more pih. Thanks
I just had CO2 laser done a week ago and I was advised by my plastic surgeon to also get VIPeel done to help with hyperpigmentation. How soon after m CO2 treatment can I get the peel? I feel like my skin has pretty much healed now. Is it safe to get it done now?
I am almost 38 and over the last year have got a ton of chest lines. I used to sun a lot in my youth. I feel very self conscious. Would a VI peel help or is laser my only option? I dont want to do fillers or Botox. Would collagen pills do anything?
