My lips look so asymmetrical after Juvederm, can this be fixed? (Photos)

I would give it two weeks to settle down. If the asymmetry is still significant, you can dissolve the Juvederm with Hyaluronidase.

There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

Swelling, which can be asymmetrical, can be typical after lip fillers. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase.

Hyaluronic filler, especially in the lips, can take up to 2 weeks to fully settle. If you are unhappy with the results after 2 weeks, I would touch base with your injector to see if it can be setback using hyalurondiase (helps to dissolve filler) on the side that seems overfilled versus touching up and adding volume to the less filled side . If you are completely unhappy with the results, hyaluronidase can be used to completely dissolve the filler. Hope this helps!

Thank you for your question. Having some bruising and swelling after filler injection is common. This can typically take up 2 weeks to resolve.  During this recovery time, the lips may appear uneven. If this unevenness does not improve after Two weeks, I would consult with your injecting physician to reevaluate the product placement.

Assuming you had no pre-existing visible asymmetry or malocclusion, your recent filler injection has, most likely created this effect. Although it is still early after the injection, there is no good reason for a significant asymmetry even at this stage. If you look at the images it seems clear that the right side of the lower lip has much more exposure of the vermillion than the left side and the volume of the upper lip  on the left does not match the other side. If waiting for another  week or so is not acceptable, you could have a small amount of filler added to the upper lip on left before doing anything else. That would  even the upper lip volume and create an illusion of much more symmetry. Once the swelling from the first injection is gone you will be able to re-evaluate your lips and decide what to do. 1st off, you're still swollen and probably need another week for the swelling to come down. Secondly in some people the asymmetry that exists can be corrected with Juvederm in some people and not in others. I would revisit your injector in another week and discussed this issue if your lips are still asymmetrical.
